{"id":12175,"date":"2017-06-01T13:51:07","date_gmt":"2017-06-01T17:51:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/?p=12175"},"modified":"2023-04-28T13:58:44","modified_gmt":"2023-04-28T17:58:44","slug":"disneyland-paris","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/disneyland-paris\/","title":{"rendered":"Visiting Disneyland Paris"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/about-us\/meet-our-agents\/tim-audie-lawley\/\">We<\/a> recently had the opportunity to visit Disneyland Paris for the first time and wanted to share some of our impressions.\u00a0 The park itself consists of two separate theme parks (Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios) and a marketplace (Disney Village).\u00a0 Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios are in close proximity to one another.\u00a0 The two theme parks and Disneyland Village are all within an easy 10 minute walk of each other.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12176\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12176\" style=\"width: 414px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-12176 \" title=\"Sleeping Beauty Castle Disneyland Paris\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Sleeping-Beauty-Castle-Disneyland-Paris-527x550.jpg\" alt=\"Early Morning Hour photo!\" width=\"414\" height=\"432\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Sleeping-Beauty-Castle-Disneyland-Paris-527x550.jpg 527w, https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Sleeping-Beauty-Castle-Disneyland-Paris-144x150.jpg 144w, https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Sleeping-Beauty-Castle-Disneyland-Paris.jpg 575w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 414px) 100vw, 414px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12176\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Early Morning Hour means no crowds and great pics!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Disneyland reminded us of the original <a href=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/disneyland\/\">Disneyland<\/a> park in Anaheim in terms of it&#8217;s size and layout.\u00a0 Some of the attractions were a blend of attractions from other Disney parks.\u00a0 For example, Space Mountain was a combination of Rock-N-Rollercoaster and Space Mountain in Anaheim.\u00a0 Others are very similar to their counterparts in California and Florida while a few are unique to Paris.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The park contains several walk through attractions which are too good to miss such as Captain Nemo&#8217;s Nautilus and dragon&#8217;s lair from Sleeping Beauty.\u00a0 One of the perks for staying at an on site resort was early morning entry two hours before official park opening.\u00a0 While not all attractions were open, there were enough to fill your time and your photos have less people in the background.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12179\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12179\" style=\"width: 504px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-12179\" title=\"Walt Disney Studios\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Walt-Disney-Studios-600x502.jpg\" alt=\"Walt Disney Studios Paris\" width=\"504\" height=\"422\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Walt-Disney-Studios.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Walt-Disney-Studios-150x126.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 504px) 100vw, 504px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12179\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Walt Disney Studios Paris<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Walt Disney Studios is smaller than Disneyland and has less attractions.\u00a0 The layout of the park and the popularity of the attractions leads to many cases of gridlock with queues spilling out into walkways.\u00a0 As in Disneyland, you will find familiar attractions and settings from Disneyland California and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/disney-vacations\/walt-disney-world\/\">Walt Disney World<\/a> in Florida but also some unique to Paris.\u00a0 They have a whole area dedicated to Remy and his friends from Ratatouille including a wonderfully themed restaurant where you feel like you have been shrunk to the size of a mouse.\u00a0 The operating hours of this park were 10 to 6 and there was no early entry available.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12178\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12178\" style=\"width: 470px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-12178\" title=\"Disney's Newport Bay Resort\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Disneys-Newport-Bay-Resort-2-600x420.jpg\" alt=\"Disney's On-site resorts are an easy and lovely walk to the parks &amp; Disney Village!\" width=\"470\" height=\"329\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Disneys-Newport-Bay-Resort-2.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Disneys-Newport-Bay-Resort-2-150x105.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 470px) 100vw, 470px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12178\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Disney&#8217;s On-site resorts are an easy and lovely walk to the parks &amp; Disney Village!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>There are seven Disney on site hotel options as well as options a short ride away.\u00a0 We stayed in a moderate level Disney Resort on property, Newport Bay Resort, and it was a short 5-10 minute walk to Disney Village and another 10-15 minute walk to the theme park entrances. The resort was quite relaxing in both atmosphere and style.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The ability to walk to the parks, early entry to Disneyland and a daily breakfast buffet were nice perks for staying at an on site resort property.\u00a0 There is a Magic Shuttle from the airport to the resorts but there is a separate charge for this service unlike Magical Express in Florida.\u00a0 There is a dining plan available but it does not have nearly the options you may be used to from Florida.\u00a0 You are also not able to charge back to your resort for meals, souvenirs and snacks like in Florida.\u00a0 On balance, we had a great time visiting Disneyland Paris and would recommend it to anyone heading to France.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12180\" title=\"Disneyland Paris!\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Disneyland-Paris-600x510.jpg\" alt=\"Disneyland Paris!\" width=\"533\"
