Adventures by Disney Interview with a Guest of The Magic For Less Travel<\/a><\/p>\n

Our clients at The Magic For Less Travel are so valued and important to us that in true Disney fashion we refer to them as our guests.\u00a0 \u00a0Often our guests become our friends and extended family as we build relationships with them over the years and live vicariously through their Disney Destination vacations.<\/a><\/p>\n

Sometimes our guests\u2019 children grow up and begin to travel themselves with their own families!\u00a0 We love our guests and we truly take their vacations seriously \u2013 as much as we do our own and maybe even a little more.<\/p>\n

So who better to talk about Disney Destination travel than our very own guests of The Magic For Less Travel?!\u00a0 This is the fifth and final in a series of interviews I conducted with my personal guests who regularly travel to Disney Destinations. \u00a0Look for other interviews with guests who regularly travel with other Disney Destinations!<\/p>\n

Let’s talk with Lew Morrison from Virginia about his Adventures by Disney<\/a> experiences!<\/p>\n

Tell me about your first Adventures by Disney.\u00a0 What hooked you?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

We looked at a variety of different products when we decided to travel abroad as a family.\u00a0 Adventures by Disney (AbD) was so much more expensive when we initially priced it out with you, but when we looked at all of the details the other tour companies had so many extras and add ons that cost additional money.\u00a0 \u00a0AbD was an all-inclusive not a nickel and dimed tour.\u00a0 We knew the quality and reliability of Disney and it ended up being an absolute no brainer!\u00a0 \u00a0We were able to see all the sites without having to pay extra (or wait in long lines)!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What keeps you going back?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

We had such a great AbD experience.\u00a0 We\u2019re thinking of Ireland, Scandinavia and if AbD\u00a0 went to Japan we\u2019d love it for our next Adventure. \u00a0\u00a0Since we don\u2019t speak the language of the destinations and had local guides who were from the destination, we feel that is a true value of an AbD trip. \u00a0\u00a0These guides know the destinations like the back of their hands and the ins and outs of the attractions and experiences.\u00a0 They\u2019re not just imported for the trip, but they often live there!\u00a0 We feel so comfortable with AbD Guides who know English but are also local and know the special things about the destination that you just won\u2019t get with another tour company.<\/p>\n

With AbD we are travelers opposed to tourists!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What is your favorite AbD memory?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

On our England\/Paris Adventurer we visited Windsor Castle.\u00a0 We met a military knight who actually lived inside the walls of Windsor Castle and has walked his dogs with the queen\u2019s dogs.\u00a0 Talking to him and learning about his life at Windsor was amazing.<\/p>\n

The garden tour of Versailles and having someone who is an expert in the gardens educate us was also awesome.\u00a0 Our kids did a bike tour while we did a walking tour with the experts view of the gardens.\u00a0 Lovely!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What is your favorite activity that you always do\/tradition on AbD?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m not sure it\u2019s a favorite activity or tradition, but having those two guides just really enhances the trip experience.\u00a0 They become your friends!<\/p>\n

How do you define Disney magic on and Adventure with AbD?\u00a0 <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the greatest things about going to the Walt Disney World Resort or the Disneyland Resort are the Cast Members and the level of attention.\u00a0 There was no difference with AbD and in fact there may have been even more.\u00a0 Guides will\u00a0 bend over backwards for you.\u00a0 On our England\/Paris trip our guides found out that my son actually isn\u2019t the biggest Disney fan, and they ensured he had a fantastic time.\u00a0 AbD isn\u2019t really about characters or the animated world of Disney, but he was fascinated by the sites and the armaments, especially at Stonehenge.\u00a0 He is an engineer and our Adventure Guides shared so much information with him and made sure that the most Disneyesque thing he had to deal with were the Disney pins you get every night \u2013 LOL!\u00a0 \u00a0They joked with him that he could make a profit on EBay with the pins.\u00a0 That\u2019s actually Disney magic to me \u2013 a guest in the AbD Guides hands!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What is the value of Adventures by Disney over another touring company?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

You\u2019re not nickeled and dimed with AbD.\u00a0 It\u2019s all inclusive without other incidentals adding up.\u00a0 We knew we only had a week in Europe for this past trip so when we looked at tour companies we examined this carefully.\u00a0 Who gives the biggest bang for the buck?\u00a0 We wanted this to be an amazing trip for our family.\u00a0 On the very first trip we did to Europe as a couple before children, we basically backpacked and booked our reservations on the fly.\u00a0 We absolutely didn\u2019t want that for this trip \u2013 as a young couple that\u2019s one thing.<\/p>\n

We wanted a concrete trip with a set itinerary but with some flexibility to see as much as we could in style.\u00a0 So many companies gave you that flexibility for a little price and \u00a0others give you regimen for a higher price.\u00a0 But what we saw with Adventures by Disney was a mixture of a high end vacation with some flexibility built in.\u00a0 For instance we saw Phantom of the Opera in London during our free time one day (our Guides even offered to help us score the tickets).\u00a0 There is such a nice balance with AbD with a top quality, first class experience that included extras considered to cost more with every other company.\u00a0 AbD may not be the least expensive, but it absolutely will give you the very best value!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What are you looking forward to most on your next AbD trip?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Knowing how well we were taken care of and the interactions with the Adventure Guides who are experts in the destination gets me excited. \u00a0\u00a0They make it a great time for everyone.\u00a0 \u00a0You really do end up caring for these people and we stay in touch.\u00a0 One of our Guides got married after we returned home and we saw her weeding photos after her ceremony.\u00a0 They have become friends for life!<\/p>\n

What is one of your favorite meals on one of your Adventures?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Oh this is easy!\u00a0 This would be the last night in Paris (the closing night of the Adventure).\u00a0 There is a bakery in Paris where macaroons were invented.\u00a0\u00a0 AbD reserved it for the night and we had such an amazing dinner.\u00a0 The food and atmosphere was amazing.\u00a0 An accordion player came in and our son tried to play it.\u00a0 Caricature artists came in and drew our portraits.\u00a0 It was just so immersive in French culture.\u00a0\u00a0 They sent us home with plenty of cookies as well \u2013 we had 16 cookies to take home (although I\u2019m not sure they made it state side).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What\u2019s a favorite Guide interaction on one of your Adventures?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Adam was the London native on our England Adventure, and he had actually done some TV and movie work.\u00a0 He was an extra in \u201cCaptain America\u201d, for instance.\u00a0 He was the one who teased our son about his non-love of all things Disney.\u00a0 Even when we got back home he sent a link to all of the photos and there were a lot of good nature barbs about mouse ears just for our son.\u00a0 Just a great fellow with a great sense of humor!<\/p>\n

And one of the things we all said was we wanted to experience on this Adventure was a traditional English tea.\u00a0 Our other guide, Mikall, said she had just the place for us when we told her!\u00a0 She also said when the time comes I\u2019ll let you know as a surprise.\u00a0 We were at Windsor Castle and she \u00a0pulled us aside and told us that she had arranged for tea during our free time. \u00a0\u00a0She walked us to a local bakery and we had a local tea right there \u2013 she arranged it all!\u00a0 We talked to the owners of the bakery and were completely immersed in interaction with locals.\u00a0 (This was something we chose to pay extra for because we wanted the experience).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Why do you do you book with The Magic For Less Travel?\u00a0 What was the benefit of booking your AbD vacation?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Well, I\u2019ve got this great Travel Agents names Steve who I have a lot of experience with as a trusted partner and also as a friend.\u00a0 I had seen your AbD trip to Peru and realized through you just what a top quality trip it was.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I knew you would take excellent care of us.\u00a0 I knew that if AbD had treated you right as a Travel Agent they would do the same for everyone else.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve used The Magic For Less Travel for 10+ years for simple things such as long weekend all the way up to a two week vacation at Walt Disney World.\u00a0 Really it\u2019s absolutely carefree travel with you.\u00a0 You arrange everything we need \u2013 you name it and you line everything up for us.\u00a0 I knew I\u2019d get the same level of service with this trip (any trip)!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What is the best advice for a new AbD traveler?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Really two pieces of advice.\u00a0 The biggest mistake we ever made was not tacking on a couple of extra days.\u00a0 In Paris for instance, I wish we\u2019d added on Disneyland Paris.\u00a0 We were so close but didn\u2019t take advantage of it.\u00a0 Definitely take a day at the beginning of your Adventure and the end if you can. We kick ourselves for not doing that on that trip.<\/p>\n

And, sit back, relax and enjoy.\u00a0 Adventures by Disney will take care of everything for you.\u00a0 It\u2019s an absolutely effortless way to see the world!<\/p>\n

Who is your favorite Disney character? <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Goofy \u2013 here you\u2019ve got every man represented.\u00a0 He\u2019s trying to ski, put together furniture, he\u2019s a single dad getting through the world loving his son the best he can.\u00a0 He\u2019s a \u201creal\u201d guy and he\u2019s pretty funny!<\/p>\n

Any other comments on Adventures by Disney?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

We\u2019re spoiled now.\u00a0 When we took a cruise to Alaska we booked concierge to get as close to the AbD experience as we could!<\/p>\n

Steve has a work hard, play hard mentality and has a strong passion to assist his clients to make the most of their valuable vacation time and dollars. Steve is an Advanced Graduate of the College of Disney Knowledge and is a Walt Disney World Resort annual passholder and a Disneyland Resort Magic Key holder. He has visited Walt Disney World and Disneyland hundreds of times. Steve is a Platinum Castaway Cay Club member with Disney Cruise Line and has sailed dozens of times on each of the 5 Disney Cruise Line ships to destinations in the Bahamas, Caribbean, Alaska and Europe. He has also traveled internationally with Adventures by Disney. Steve is an Advanced Graduate of the College of Disney Knowledge. He also carries a Universal Studios Specialist designation and is an Annual Passholder with the Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood Resorts. He is also certified with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and has sailed dozens of times on RCCL as well as other cruise lines. Steve has a work hard, play hard mentality and has a strong passion to assist his clients to make the most of their valuable vacation time and dollars.
