To some, a 3-night Disney Cruise may not seem \u201cworth it\u201d, but my family and I recently discovered the value it provides. I have been wanting to experience a Disney cruise for quite a while. However, my husband has been more hesitant. He has never considered himself a \u201ccruise person\u201d, noting that he dislikes crowds, and feeling \u201ctrapped\u201d onboard a ship with many other people sounded more like torture than a relaxing vacation. I had my own hesitations as well, hearing many stories about other travelers developing sea-sickness, I was concerned about committing to a long cruise, only to discover a susceptibility to motion sickness in myself or other family members. I did not want to spend the time or money on a cruise and not be able to enjoy it due to sickness.<\/p>\n
I knew that Disney offers a 3 night Bahamian cruise with stops in Nassau Bahamas and Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line\u2019s private island. My daughter had wanted to experience the crystal Caribbean waters after doing a school report about the Bahamas. Since I help families book and plan their own DCL vacations, I decided it was time to experience DCL for myself. I convinced my husband to give it a try and we booked our first Disney Cruise.<\/p>\n
It was the perfect fit for our needs. We were able to experience the majesty and luxury that is Disney Cruise Lines<\/a>. DCL doesn\u2019t skimp when it comes to the shorter cruises. We experienced a magical send-off party, Broadway quality shows, a Pirate party, fireworks at sea, character meet and greets, and all the family-oriented games and activities for which DCL is known.<\/p>\n

\nDuring our short cruise, we were able to enjoy a day at Castaway Cay. It was a fabulous experience, only available by being a DCL guest. My kids enjoyed time at the kids\u2019 clubs aboard ship and on the Aqua Duck. They especially enjoyed on-demand soft ice cream machines. It was a great opportunity to experience all that Disney Cruise Line offers.<\/p>\n
The 3 night cruise allowed my \u201ccruise-hesitant\u201d family to experience the wonderful offerings of Disney Cruise Line, without the time and financial commitment that we were reluctant to make. My husband didn\u2019t feel crowded or trapped. No one in my family experienced sea-sickness. We are now planning our next Disney cruise\u2026our much longer Disney cruise.<\/p>\n
