\"Ft.Ft. Wilderness Camp Ground<\/a> is such a beautiful & relaxing resort. \u00a0What makes it extra special is how the resort guests decorate their campers, tents & even golf carts! \u00a0I have visited this resort during different times of the year and it is always a different experience, but during the holidays it’s the best. (Halloween time is pretty fun too!)<\/p>\n

During my December trip to Walt Disney World<\/a>, some friends and I enjoyed the Holiday Sleigh Ride at Ft. Wilderness Camp Ground.\u00a0 After watching Holiday Wishes from the Magic Kingdom<\/a> entrance, we took a relaxing boat ride over to Fort Wilderness Camp Ground and met in front of Crockets Tavern<\/a>. \u00a0\u00a0You could also get there by taking a bus to Ft. Wilderness and then take the internal bus.\u00a0 \u00a0The walk over to the meeting place was fun, as the campground was on decoration overload; even the golf carts were lit up & decorated!<\/p>\n

Doug the horse, he pulled our sleigh!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

As we were waiting, we heard the sleigh before we saw it.\u00a0 The sleigh was red and beautifully decorated with holly, bows and jingle bells.\u00a0 It was pulled by a huge black horse named \u201cDoug\u201d.\u00a0 There were 4 adults in our party and we fit comfortably, the sleigh could also hold a party of 2 adults and 3 small children. \u00a0\u00a0We went on a fun 25-minute ride around the campground.\u00a0 Since it was close to Christmas, the campground was lit up and decorated for the holidays!\u00a0 It was hard to tell where we were going, since it was dark, but people really go all out with their decorations.\u00a0 From inflatables to \u201cHidden Mickey\u2019s\u201d to lights high up in the trees; these campers take their decorating seriously!<\/p>\n

Since we had a late sleigh ride with a 10:30 start, most everything was closed when we returned to Ft. Wilderness.\u00a0 We took the boat back to the Contemporary<\/a> hotel, since that boat came first, then walked back to the Magic Kingdom to catch a bus back to the hotel.<\/p>\n

The sleigh ride is offered during the month of December, every 30 minutes.\u00a0 Reservations can be made 180 days in advance.<\/p>\n
