{"id":8765,"date":"2014-12-24T13:40:06","date_gmt":"2014-12-24T18:40:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/?p=8765"},"modified":"2024-02-12T17:47:01","modified_gmt":"2024-02-12T22:47:01","slug":"grand-circle-christmas-tour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/grand-circle-christmas-tour\/","title":{"rendered":"Grand Circle Christmas Tour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Everyone loves a monorail resort, right?\u00a0 Know what\u2019s better than a monorail resort?\u00a0 A monorail resort decorated for the holidays!\u00a0 This is probably the easiest way to see a variety of holiday decorations at Disney because you have easy transportation from resort to resort.\u00a0 Within the course of an afternoon, you can make your way through 3 (or 4 if you add the Wilderness Lodge!) resorts and immerse yourself in some very different d\u00e9cor!<\/p>\n<p>The first stop on our tour is the <a title=\"Disney&#039;s Polynesian Village Resort\" href=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/disney-vacations\/walt-disney-world\/resorts\/polynesian-village-resort\/\">Polynesian<\/a>.\u00a0 As you approach the resort from the outside, you will encounter this floral tree.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8777\" title=\"Polynesian Tree Outside\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Polynesian-Tree-Outside.jpg\" alt=\"Polynesian Tree Outside\" width=\"443\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Polynesian-Tree-Outside.jpg 443w, https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Polynesian-Tree-Outside-110x150.jpg 110w, https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Polynesian-Tree-Outside-406x550.jpg 406w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 443px) 100vw, 443px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Polynesian is in the process of doing some pretty extensive rehabs.\u00a0 The lobby opened just last week and is showing off some impressive renovations.\u00a0 I think they did a wonderful job and in the middle of it all is a brand new holiday tree!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8778\" title=\"Polynesian Tree\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Polynesian-Tree1.jpg\" alt=\"Polynesian Tree\" width=\"437\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Polynesian-Tree1.jpg 437w, https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Polynesian-Tree1-109x150.jpg 109w, https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Polynesian-Tree1-400x550.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 437px) 100vw, 437px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Our next stop is the Grand Floridian. Here the d\u00e9cor is more formal and Victorian.\u00a0 The centerpiece of the lobby is a massive tree.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8770\" title=\"GrandFloridianTreeUpstairs\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/GrandFloridianTreeUpstairs.jpg\" alt=\"GrandFloridianTreeUpstairs\" width=\"600\" Staircase is draped in garlands.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8780\" title=\"Grand Staircase\" gingerbread house, big enough that it also functions as a store where they sell gingerbread cookies and other holiday goodies.\u00a0 Around the house, you will find various characters in different scenes above the windows.\u00a0 There are also many Hidden Mickeys hidden around the gingerbread house, so you can spend quite a while searching for all 16 of them!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8784\" title=\"Gingerbread House\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Gingerbread-House1.jpg\" tour is the Contemporary.\u00a0 This resort has a giant tree outside, which is challenging to get a picture of, so unfortunately, it didn\u2019t make the blog.\u00a0 Inside, though, up on the 4<sup>th<\/sup> Floor Grand Canyon Concourse you can find their big holiday display.\u00a0 There you\u2019ll find all your favorite Frozen friends in a Mary Blair inspired scene.\u00a0 This scene comes complete with Hidden Olafs!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8774\" title=\"Contemporary 2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/disney-vacations\/walt-disney-world\/resorts\/wilderness-lodge\/\">Wilderness Lodge<\/a>.\u00a0 This resort just screams Christmas with its rustic, lodge theme.\u00a0 When you enter the lobby all you can see is the jaw dropping Christmas tree that seems to stretch up forever!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8786\" title=\"Lodge Tree\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Lodge-Tree1.jpg\" alt=\"Lodge Tree\" width=\"453\" height=\"600\" and glance back towards the main doors, you\u2019ll see some little friends having a snack.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8782\" I\u2019m not sure which I like best.\u00a0 Each has its own special theme and is decorated to keep with that theme.\u00a0 I really enjoy taking the time to visit the different resorts to see what they
