of it but I have to say that I was very excited to be able to visit SeaWorld for the first time on my latest Disney trip.\u00a0 I\u2019ve wanted to go there since I was little (many years ago) and I was very happy to find that I really enjoyed the park.\u00a0 It\u2019s much smaller than Disney of course but the park has a different kind of magic\u2014the magic of animals.<\/p>\n<p>Being the planner that I am, I decided to research Sea World before I left and frankly didn\u2019t find a lot of information out there but I also found it just isn\u2019t as necessary to do a lot of planning with Sea World.\u00a0 The main thing I did learn is to purchase your tickets before you go so you don\u2019t have to stand in a long line when you get there.\u00a0 I can tell you from first-hand experience now that you DEFINITELY want to buy your tickets in advance as the ticket line even just an hour after opening was at least 40 minutes long (and part of that time in the sun) and that was on a slow day for the park!<\/p>\n<p>A couple of tips to pass on about Sea World(in addition to the one above)\u2014first their website says no food or drink allowed and that\u2019s true except you can bring in water bottles and there are lots of water fountains where you can refill your water bottle.\u00a0 Second, take the time to just look around you\u2014we actually spent a good 30 minutes just watching some of the ducks and cranes that were in a little fenced-in natural area that wasn\u2019t an \u201cofficial\u201d attraction but even as all adults, we enjoyed watching them in their natural habitat!\u00a0 Third, be sure to download their app before you leave.\u00a0 You can use the app for many things once you enter the park but my favorite was being able to see wait times for all of the attractions in real time.\u00a0 Last tip, if it looks like rain and you are about to cross the long bridge across the lagoon, go ahead and put your poncho on or wait to cross.\u00a0 Trust me the rain comes quickly and in a down pour there is no cover on the bridge and no possibility of getting your poncho on.\u00a0 This comes from personal experience!<\/p>\n<p>So, what did I see while at Sea World?\u00a0 Let me first explain that I can\u2019t do roller coasters so while Sea World had some really exciting ones, I skipped those.\u00a0\u00a0 Second, after having my own drenching experience I decided to skip Journey to Atlantis (although it looked really cool, see picture below).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9528\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9528\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9528\" title=\"Journey to Atlantis\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Journey-to-Atlantis.jpg\" alt=\"This ride looks like a lot of fun!\" width=\"600\" height=\"448\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Journey-to-Atlantis.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Journey-to-Atlantis-150x112.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9528\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">This ride looks like a lot of fun!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The things I did see (besides the ducks mentioned above) were mostly shows.\u00a0 My favorite was \u201cOne Ocean\u201d which is Sea World\u2019s major show featuring killer whales.\u00a0 This was an awesome show and not to be missed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure https:\/\/www.themagicforless.com\/tmflblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/One-Ocean-Show-150x95.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9529\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">This is the Sea World show to see<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The second one was \u201cBlue Horizons\u201d and I really enjoyed this show.\u00a0 If you love dolphins or birds (like I do) than this is the show for you!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9525\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9525\" style=\"width: 600px\" id=\"caption-attachment-9525\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">If you love dolphins and birds, this is the show for you!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We also tried to make it to Pets Ahoy but never caught that one.\u00a0 Now for the main event\u2014Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin.\u00a0 This is a major new area with shops and even an eating area but the highlight is the ride\u2014Empire of the Penguin.\u00a0 This is the ride with the longest wait times all day until just before the park closes (which is when I was able to ride it).\u00a0 If you are cold natured, bring a sweater with you for this one as the whole ride takes place as if you are in Antarctica and<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9526\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9526\" style=\"width: 600px\" id=\"caption-attachment-9526\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Entrance to this new and very popular ride<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>ends with an actual penguin habitat and of course they like it very cold! \u00a0\u00a0This was the main reason I finally made it to Sea World and I was not disappointed!<\/p>\n<p>So have you been to Sea World\u2014what did you think?<\/p>\n<p><a
