Disney’s Old Key West Resort  is truly a hidden treasure.  Secluded and at the same time close to Disney Springs and the theme parks. Themed after the Florida Keys in the early 1900’s, Disney’s Old Key West Resort has a quaint and comforting “home away from home” feel. It was the first of The Disney Vacation Club Resorts and has the most spacious rooms of the timeshare resorts. It is located in the Disney Springs Resorts area of Walt Disney World. Views of water, woodlands and fairways from the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course can be seen throughout the resort.

Room Categories 

There are four types of rooms offered at Disney’s Old Key West Resort.  Take a tour of a 1-Bedroom Villa!

  • Deluxe Studio – sleeps up to 4 people
  • One Bedroom Villa – sleeps up to 5 people
  • Two Bedroom Villa – sleeps up to 9 people, with 2 bathrooms
  • Three Bedroom Grand Villa – sleeps up to 12 people, with 3 bathrooms

You can request any of these rooms in a location nearby to the Hospitality House, where the lobby for check-in and concierge services are located. Conch Flats the general store is also located in the same area.

Pools

There are four pools at the resort. The Sandcastle Pool is the main pool of the resort, with its 125 foot water-slide and adjacent sand area and kiddie pool. Located close to the Hospitality House, the Sandcastle Pool also has a whirlpool spa and a dry sauna inside the base of a lighthouse.

Where to Eat

Olivia’s Café is a Caribbean style full service restaurant with home-style specialties like Banana Bread French Toast or Conch Fritters. Olivia’s is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers island cocktails, beer and wine for 21 and older. Reservations are recommended.

Good’s Food to Go offers grab ‘n go foods such as salads, burgers, desserts and beverages. Located by the main pool, they are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Gurgling Suitcase Libations and Spirits is a Key West Style Bar with signature drinks such as the Turtle Krawl, wine and beer. Food is also available from the lunch and dinner menu from Olivia’s Café, if you’re hungry. Open for lunch, dinner and late night.

Nearby Disney Springs has many other fabulous restaurants and shops and is only a short boat ride away!

Activities at the Resort 

There is so much to do at Disney’s Old Key West. Outdoor activities include tennis, basketball, volleyball and shuffleboard. Fishing and playgrounds are also popular activities at the resort. Community Hall has Foosball, pool, ping pong and video games. DVDs are available for in room viewing. There are two arcades located at the resort. Bicycle and Surry bike rentals are available at Hanks Rent ‘N Return.

How to Get Around

Disney’s Magical Express a complimentary service is available between Orlando International Airport and Disney’s Old Key West Resort.  For those who prefer to drive or rent a car, overnight parking fees are payable directly to the resort upon check-out.  Guests staying with their Disney Vacation Club membership do not pay parking fees.  

Buses are  transportation between the resort and theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs.  Typically, water transportation is also available to and from Disney Springs.
