What Makes Narcoossee’s Special?
Not only do they offer incredible food, but guests also get a spectacular view of the Magic Kingdom’s fireworks show (Happily Ever After), and the electric parade on the Seven Sea’s Lagoon! On nights when the Magic Kingdom has fireworks, guests visiting Narcooossee’s are in for a special treat! The lights in the dining room are dimmed and guests can enjoy the spectacular views of the fireworks as they listen to the music of Happily Ever After that is “piped” into the dining room. This experience is the next best thing to watching the fireworks on Main Street. If guests have a reservation at an earlier time in the evening, they are invited to view Happily Ever After from the dock, right outside the restaurant. Music is also “piped in” on the dock for an incredible viewing experience.

Guests visiting later in the evening can also view The Electric Water Pageant. The Electric Water Pageant is a light display that makes its way around the Seven Seas Lagoon. It is a 15-minute outdoor light show that takes place at various Magic Kingdom Resorts. The Pageant starts at The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and makes its way to the other Magic Kingdom Area resorts that are located on the Seven Seas Lagoon. On nights when Happily Ever is offered, the pageant will start a few minutes after Happily Ever After Ends.
Planning Your Visit to Narcoossee’s
If you are using the Disney dining plan, Narcoossee’s is 2 Table-service credits.
It can be challenging to get a reservation at Narcoossee’s so I recommend making an Advanced Dining Reservations (ADR). An ADR can be made 60 days in advance of your visit. Narcoossee’s is a great date night option, or a special occasion celebration! You can check in 15 minutes before your reservation time. I highly recommend arriving early to allow enough time to walk to Narcoossee’s once you arrive at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
The Experience
On the day of our visit, my family had a reservation for a late dinner so we could have a table during the Magic Kingdom’s fireworks show. When we arrived, we were sat promptly at a window table. Once there we were excited to have a fantastic view of Magic Kingdom and The Happily Ever After Fireworks show.
During our visit, we started with the shrimp and grits. It is made with local shrimp, a peach barbecue sauce, grits, applewood -smoked bacon, and show-chow. The shrimp and grits had a great flavor that we thoroughly enjoyed.

For dinner we ordered, the Merlot-Glazed Salmon which was cooked to perfection! The fish was very tender. It was paired deliciously with mashed potatoes and sun-dried tomatoes.
For dessert we decided to order the almond crusted cheesecake. It was the perfect balance of creamy cheesecake, crunchy almonds, and cherries. We loved the sauce on the side. The almond crusted cheesecake lived up to all the hype in my book!

One of my children has never been a huge fan of fireworks, due to the accompanying loud noises they produce, this has made viewing Happily Ever After difficult for my family. Watching the fireworks from Narcoossee’s was a pleasant experience for my child who otherwise can become scared during the fireworks show. Being able to watch Happily Ever After as we ate a late dinner was a special treat for us all.
What I Wish I Would Have Known
We decided to drive our personal vehicle to the resort which added additional time to get to the restaurant. Guests who drive, are required to park in a parking lot located across the street from the Grand Floridian. It took us several minutes to walk to the restaurant from that designated parking lot. I wish we would have taken a ride share or the bus transportation as walking from the designated parking lot to Narcoossee’s took us 15 minutes. I would recommend the ride share or bus transportation options for convenience and to save time.
Overall Review of Narcoossee’s
We loved our experience at Narcoossee’s! Everything we ate was fantastic! The views were incredible. The staff was friendly and accommodating to the needs of our family. This was certainly a meal experience that my family will remember. I will not forget the look on my children’s faces as we ate dinner and watched Happily Ever After! It truly was a magical dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend Narcoossee’s. It has become one of my favorite Disney World Resort Restaurants and we can’t wait to eat there on our next visit to Walt Disney World.
Although I enjoyed several visits to Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando as a child, my love for Disney was ignited as I watched my children experience the magic of Disney for the first time in 2018. Experiencing the joy of vacation through their eyes has helped me to become passionate about planning trips and making magical memories with my family. I love to help others plan magical vacations in order to create lasting memories for their families. I would love to help you plan your next trip and make your family’s vacation dreams come true.
