For the 20th Annual Food and Wine Festival, Epcot unveiled a new challenge that was fun for all ages, the Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak!

Participating in the challenge is simple, you just purchase a map at one of the locations and then as you wander the World Showcase sampling the goodies of the Festival, you search for Remy. We picked up our maps at the World Traveler shop, at the International Gateway entrance to Epcot. Maps are $7.95 each.

The map is a map of the World Showcase with empty spots by each country for you to place a sticker. There is a separate sheet in the bag of stickers, each sticker has Remy with a particular ingredient. Your job is to go find Remy in each country, see which ingredient he has with him and then take the appropriate sticker and put it by that country.

Some of the Remys were easy to find, like the one in France. He was out in the open, in the middle of a floral display. Others were quite a bit harder! Remy is small and he could be anywhere. Sometimes he would be peeking out at you from the corner of a building.

Once you have found every hidden Remy, and put all of the stickers on your map, then it’s time to turn it in! You take your map to Port of Entry, where they check to make sure that you have completed the challenge correctly. Then you get your prize! The prize is a limited edition pin, you get your choice from pins that match the stickers you just put on your map.

The challenge was super cute and a lot of fun. While it was most likely originally geared towards younger children to help keep them occupied during the Food and Wine Festival, there were plenty of adults getting in on the action too. I definitely think that it was a great activity, and would do it again!
