Ride the Skyliner

We definitely recommend taking a spin on the Disney Skyliner, the newest resort transportation option at Walt Disney World. You can hop on at the Hourglass Lake station between Art of Animation and Pop Century and fly on over to Caribbean Beach Resort. From there, you have options on where to go next! The Skyliner, one our 5 things to check out at Disney's Art of Animation Resort.

You can head over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or over to the International Gateway at EPCOT, via a quick swing by Disney’s Riviera Resort, where you can hop off and explore as well. Once at EPCOT or Hollywood Studios, you can take a quick stroll over to the Boardwalk entertainment district, including great dining options and multiple Disney resorts.

The Big Blue Pool

There is also agreat area for the little ones, Schoolyard Sprayground, located next to the pool. This splashpad features more characters from the Nemo franchise, plus some great age-appropriate water features.

And if getting wet isn’t your thing, there’s the Squirt’s Righteous Reef playground in the pool area. This is a great area for your kids to play and enjoy the day at the resort.

Take a walk around the property

There is so much to see around the Art of Animation property. If Disney statues and icons are your things, AoA is a must-visit! Throughout the themed areas, you’ll find some of your favorite Disney andPixar characters. Cabanas

Located at the Cozy Cone Pool, these traffic cone-shaped cabanas will definitely cause you to slow down and relax. They are available on a first-come-first-served basis and provide some great shade from the Florida sun. This is the smallest of the three pools at AoA, but it’s wonderfully themed.

Surrounding this pool area you’ll even find some of your favorite Cars characters like Doc, Sally, Mater, and Lightning McQueen. Plus, loads of other great imagery and signage from your favorite movies.

And, if you need to do laundry during your stay, it’s located right next to the pool area.
