H2O Glow Nights

Celebrate summer with the ultimate after-hours water park party at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon.  You’ll even see your favorite Toy Story pals – Buzz Lightyear, Woody Jessie and “Partysaurus Rex.” Special lighting effects, a DJ dance party and specialty food and drinks are available and it all starts May 30, 2019.  Disney H2O Glow Nights are available on select Thursday and Saturday nights, through Aug. 24, 2019. The party officially runs 8 p.m.-11 p.m., but Guests can experience Typhoon Lagoon as early as 6 p.m. on event nights.  Save money by purchasing your tickets in advance.

Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy

Experience some time with Lightning McQueen as he appears live on stage!  This high energy show lets guests get up close and personal with Lightning and don’t worry Mater is there to help Lightening with some advice and a bit of humor too.  The preshow on Sunset Showcase features Lightning’s pit crew with photo ops with Cruz Ramirez, games and a dance party.

Rivers of Light: We Are One

This summer, a new version of the night-time show at Animal Kingdom will arrive with the debut of “Rivers of Light: We Are One.”  The new show features animal characters from Disney nature films, as well as some classic Disney animation characters.  The music showcases an original musical score along with familiar Disney theme songs.  “Rivers of Light: We Are One” is now at the Discovery River Amphitheater at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.   In addition a new Tree of Life Awakenings has debuted as well. Make plans to enjoy the show with a Rivers of Light Dessert Party!

Final Season of Illuminations Reflections of Earth

“IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” will end its run later this summer and this is your last chance to say goodbye to this spectacular nighttime show.  For over 20 years, this show has been a guest favorite.  Consider an Illuminations Dining package that includes dinner at Epcot’s Rose and Crown and a great view of Illuminations too.

Wonderful World of Animation

The new projection show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will take you on a fantastic journey through more than 90 years of magical Disney animation The Chinese Theatre transforms and becomes the back-drop to showcase unforgettable animation moments from Coco, The Incredibles, Frozen, Moana and many more. This beautiful score features music from some of your favorite movies too. Don’t worry, Disney never loses sight of the fact that it was all started with a mouse and Mickey introduces and closes each show.

 Villains After Hours at the Magic Kingdom

Disney’s After Hours events are a great way to experience low crowds and Disney nighttime magic. This summer, the special event gets a bit of a makeover with a Disney villains theme. You will still have the chance to experience over 20 attractions with little to no wait.  Don’t forget admission also includes unlimited ice cream, popcorn and bottled beverages included with your admission. The brand new “Villains Unite the Night.” show feature Hades, Meg and a host of over villains, and you may also spot Maleficent the Dragon roaming around and breathing fire!  Specialty villain themed food and beverage offerings will also be available for purchase. Sample treats such as Dragon’s Breath Float, Dr. Facilier’s Tarot Card Tart or Not So Poison Apple Cupcake. This event occurs on select nights June 6-Aug. 8, 2019 and tickets are now on sale.

Coronado Springs and Gran Destino Tower

Disney’s Coronado resort has been completely transformed and the brand new Gran Destino Tower will open this July. The tower will add 545 new Guest rooms (including 50 suites) to the resort.  It will also feature a gorgeous two-story lobby which will host the check-in for the entire resort. You will also find a brand new themed table-service restaurant at the top of the tower.  The restaurant will serve great food and great views of the Walt Disney World Resort!  In addition, the rest of the resort rooms have also been fully updated and they look spectacular! Consider a stay at this awesome resort!

New Dining opportunities throughout Walt Disney World Resort

We all know that there are so many great Disney food choices in Walt Disney World.  In addition to some of your tried and true favorites, there are new dining locations to try on your summer Disney vacation.

Jaleo by Jose Andres is located in Disney Springs and features the flavors of Spain.  It’s a stunning restaurant and features wonderful tapas like cured meats and cheeses and this fantastic tomato bread.  Don’t miss the chance to sample their tasty Croquetas de pollo (chicken fritters) and the mini pork burgers with bacon.  They also have great entrees and their famous paella.

Toledo – Tapas, Steak and Seafood at Coronado Springs is going to be the spot to experience great food and spectacular views!  Enjoy dishes inspired by the flavors of Spain while you are wowed by the rooftop dining experience.  Plan a meal at the right time and you may have a view of a fireworks show, or two!

Chicken Guy is Guy Fieri’s new restaurant in Disney Springs.  It has chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, mac n’ cheese, shakes and lots of sauces. We’re talking more than 20 different sauces.  You will want to sample milk shakes like the Triple Double Mint shake, or the Cinnamon Apple shake.

Sebastian’s Bistro is located at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.  The restaurant is located near Old Port Royale and has a beautiful décor and beautiful views as well.  It features dishes with a Caribbean flair such as Jamaican meat pies, crab cake, jerk chicken, and grilled skirt steak “Chimichurri”.  Diners with a sweet tooth will want to try the iced key lime pops and coconut panna cotta.

Limited Time Food Offerings

No one does food like Disney and this summer you won’t want to miss your chance to experience special and Instagramable foods like the Tangled Éclair, the Wish Granted Aladdin Donuts or the Strawberry Mickey Milkshake with edible Mickey marshmallow. Each park has a number of fantastic tasting and looking treats!

Special Character Greetings

Summer is the perfect time to meet your favorite characters.  See Mickey and Minnie in their celebration outfits at the Magic Kingdom.  You can also get down with the Incredibles at Pixar Place.  Dug Russel and Kevin appear in Animal Kingdom. Dance along with the Guardians of the Galaxy in Epcot. Strut your stuff with the Hakuna Matata Dance Party in Animal Kingdom. In addition, Disney Junior fans can meet Fancy Nancy and Vamparina in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! These are just a few of the many opportunities to meet your favorite Disney characters!
