Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend

Event Dates: January 5-9, 2022

You won’t want to miss a weekend of races that are as magical as they are memorable, from Disney’s Health & Fitness Expo to the final mile of the marathon, complete with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy medals. We know you love running, now imagine a run where every mile is filled with Disney fun. You’d be, well, goofy to miss it.

Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend Features:

  • Walt Disney World Marathon: Participants will experience the most magical 26.2 miles in the world with a racecourse that winds through all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks.

  • Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, a jubilant new stage show that fills the air with music, laughter and shimmering snowflakes featuring Mickey and lots of his Disney pals
  • Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, complete with a special appearance by Santa Claus himself
  • Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks show, hosted by the one-and-only Minnie Mouse, will celebrate the magic of Christmas with medleys of favorite holiday songs!
  • Live entertainment featuring Disney Characters

Discover a festival like no other, featuring the joyous holiday traditions of our 11 World Showcase nations. Epcot International Festival of the Holidays surrounds you in the wondrous sights, sounds and flavors of the season as celebrated by cultures near and far.

Come, delight in stirring live musical productions; savor seasonal food & beverage specialties at the expanded Holiday Kitchens; and take a festive global tour as costumed performers bring time-honored traditions to life throughout World Showcase!

One of the most beloved holiday traditions at Epcot – a joyous retelling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra and a glorious mass choir.

Performances are at 5:00 PM, 6:45 PM and 8:15 PM nightly from Late November – December 30.

Candlelight Dining Packages:
Savor an extra special treat when you ring in the holiday season with a Candlelight Dining Package. Each package includes lunch or dinner at a select Epcot restaurant and reserved general seating at the America Gardens Theater during the Candlelight Processional. Holiday Kitchens – Savor treasured seasonal recipes from around the globe at special kiosks throughout World Showcase.

Chip & Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree – Chip and Dale are collecting ornaments for their Christmas tree—and they need your help! To get started, simply purchase a map and sticker from select merchandise locations, including Pin Central, Disney Traders and World Traveler at International Gateway (maps are US $6.99 plus tax). As you travel around World Showcase, be on the lookout for Chip and Dale as they gather ornaments from holiday decorations in each World Showcase pavilion. Once you spot them, add the corresponding ornament sticker to your map. Then, take your completed map to Disney Traders and exchange it for a festive surprise, courtesy of Chip and Dale!

JOYFUL! A Gospel Celebration of the Season – Rejoice in seasonal sounds that blend inspiring gospel with jazz, R&B and more. Catch daily performances of this uplifting holiday show at the Future World Fountain Stage.

Holiday Storytellers – Listen to legendary holiday folklore from around the world as told at the World Showcase by the legends themselves, including France’s Père Noël, Italy’s La Befana and America’s Santa Claus.

Epcot Holiday Merchandise Stroll through the World Showcase and discover festive holiday gifts for the entire family!
